I knocked off a star for the initial month of issues, bu trigh tnow this is a great investment. In the zero position, the telescope points to the celestial pole and is exactly vertically above the RA axis, and setting it is an essential part of the initial alignment setup. Setup is simple - just point it south, turn it on, and it will move to a bright star for a final alignment check. You also need to keep in mind iOptron’s zero position, which is distinct from the park position. This mount will track a target for hours at a public star party without having to recenter the target. The hardest thing now is aligning the two of them at the start of each session as I use this as my travel mount and like to move it disassembled and in its case. It easily carries my 9.25 on one side and an 80mm f6 refractor on the other side. That saved me several weeks as I had two separate issues that required internal parts to be replaced. I had a few startup issues with it, and found that the tech support at iOptron is excellent, and they will send out parts along with instructions to take the new under warrantee mount apart and replace the parts yourself. I wanted a more stable mount for my Celestron 9.25 (and other smaller OTAs) and I wanted the two scope capability that this mount brings. I bought this mount as an upgrade for a Celestron Evolution mount. Two year limited warranty (90 days for battery).Automatic position and angular detection sensors.6" dual dovetail saddle (accepts both Losmandy and Vixen dovetails).3-Point easy level adjustment on tripod.Position memorization if the power is interrupted.Well, the MiniTower Pro has all the same, great technologies and features just beefed up So, you can still mount two scopes on - but now with more pay load. Portab Bigger No doubt you’ve heard about the MiniTower. ![]()
